Head of business banking for SME and Retail, Bank AlEtihad

Shatha Bdair joined Bank AlEtihad in October 2014, with a current role as the head of business banking for SME and Retail, closely working with other business segments to capitalize on growth opportunities as well as help derive strong value propositions through cross-sell and partnerships.

She is leading an energetic team spread across the branches to build high-quality products for retail and SME customers and manage the customer relationship on both liabilities and assets, with a proven track record where the bank witnessed growth in assets, liabilities, market share and profitability with a minimum level of delinquency.

Shatha had 15 years of professional experience in her banking career with reputable banking organizations (Arab bank, Capital bank and Bank AlEtihad) with extensive SME banking experience and closely working with startups and women's businesses.

Throughout her banking career, she conducted many SME financial training for SME clients and employees, with one-to-one financial support sessions.

Passionate about providing unparalleled level services and convenience for customers, with strong technical skills in portfolio management, structured lending products, financial modelling, risk analysis and retail/branches score card. 

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Jordan with many banking expert certificates.
