Sandra is a seasoned professional pharmacist with over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Her experience covers different aspects, from marketing to business development and portfolio management. She is also very passionate about women empowerment and gender equality, and translated this passion into solid and proficient programs and initiatives dedicated to this cause.

Career History

Sandra has been heading the Portfolio Management department at Hikma Pharmaceuticals for the MENA region for more than five years, where she managed to select and initiate the development of new products which led to successful launches for Hikma’s Branded and Hospital Business Units and contributed to the organization’s growth plans.

Prior to that and within the Business Development department, Sandra led discussions and negotiations with several international and multinational companies for their most innovative products, and established long-term partnerships with more than 10 reputable companies. One of her key successes was finalizing a licensing agreement with a Korean company for their range of Biosimilars that led to major revenues for Hikma in the MENA region.

Sandra joined Hikma Pharmaceuticals in 1999, and since then, has worked at several departments within the organization, starting in the Sales and Marketing department, moving to the Purchasing and Procurement department, later becoming an integral member in the Business Development department, and recently heading the Portfolio Management department.

In 2015, and out of her strong belief in gender equality and women advancement, Sandra kicked-off a women empowerment and motivational program under the name “Dare to Dream Big”, which is now an international program applied globally in all of Hikma’s sites.
