Career History
Salwa currently heads Yurbi Capital, a private family office out of Dubai, where she is responsible for portfolio construction, asset allocation, external fund manager selection, and analysis of direct investment opportunities.
Prior to her current role, Salwa co-founded Little Thinking Minds, an EdTech company focused on creating digital learning platforms in the Arabic language. Salwa helped the company grow into the largest digital Arabic language provider in the Middle East by bringing her depth of experience working with startups to grow the company’s top line across different geographies.
Salwa’s career started in early-stage venture capital (VC), where she was a founding member and the Investment Manager at Oasis 500, the first VC fund in Jordan. She spent six years there before moving to San Francisco to lead Tech Wadi's Sprint accelerator program for two years.
Salwa has worked with more than 1,500 entrepreneurs and invested in more than 90 startups across the MENA region.
