Ruba Farah

Ruba is an impact-driven business growth professional, with a background in risk management and financial crime compliance, supported by an international background in international law. She has been based in Amman, Jordan since 2019, and prior to this she worked in the UK with a focus on the EMEA region. Ruba’s portfolio includes financial crime compliance, risk management and governance specialist. She gained her experience in financial services and boutique consulting and freelance assignments in the UK.

Ruba is an advisory lead at 17 Ventures Advisory. Her career has an impressive listing of achievements with an online diploma in business strategies for social impact (2020), from Wharton University of Pennsylvania, which includes an interesting study of purpose driven leadership, driving social impact, impact measurement and impact investing. She also obtained an online diploma in global trends for business and society from the same University; analyzing continuously changing global trends in context of consumer and labor markets, financial systems and geopolitics.

Ruba added to her certificates the International Compliance Association diploma in AML in 2016 and a certificate in trade finance in 2018. She was also awarded with the Macquarie Risk Management Group Award for accountability.
