Rawan Khoury

Director of Communications, Crown Prince Foundation

Rawan is a passionate humanitarian and a communications expert who has dedicated her career to helping others through her work in different nonprofit organizations. With over 20 years of experience in marketing and communications, Rawan has extensive knowledge of the intricacies of dealing with the media and keeps up to date with the often-changing media and social media scenes. 

Rawan joined the Crown Prince Foundation (CPF) in October 2017 as Director of Communications and works to support and promote the Foundation’s vision of empowering Jordan’s youth and putting them in the driver’s seat. 

Within her position at CPF, Rawan leads the Communications Department by driving innovative and creative concepts as well as effective communications. Using her understanding of what it takes to invest in and grow a unique organization not only at the strategic level, but also on the tactical side, Rawan directs the Communications team to create ambitious, innovative and integrated media and social media strategies for CPF and its different programs and initiatives. She also ensures impeccable execution of all events, designs, content, videos and production material as per set guidelines and parameters.

Prior to working with CPF, Rawan worked at the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) for 11 years in a variety of roles, including communications, events, fundraising, patient support, corporate relations, media and public relations. Throughout her time at KHCF, Rawan undertook a leadership role in establishing the Media and Social Network Department and launched KHCF’s social media platforms reaching -at the time- more than one million friends and followers via different pages run by KHCF. She also oversaw all media efforts that focused on developing and maintaining media partners both locally and regionally to enhance public awareness and knowledge of the life-saving work of KHCF while ensuring that all major fundraising and awareness campaigns and activities receive proper media coverage and exposure to meet KHCF’s targets. 

Rawan is a Qualified Director certified by the Jordan Institute of Directors – (JIoD) in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) as well as currently serving as Secretary General on the Board of Directors of Al-Malath Foundation for Humanistic Care which offers palliative care to terminally ill patients. 

Rawan has a BA in English Translation with a minor in English Literature from the Applied Science University, Jordan.
