Maram is an Industrial Engineer with a wide range of leadership experience in NGOs, non-profit, and private sector organizations. Maram’s career includes holding senior positions in a number of prominent development, education, and economic empowerment organizations.

Career History

Maram is a passionate development expert who has dedicated the majority of her career to contributing and participating in the developmental sectors. She has over 23 years of experience in projects and programs management, strategic business planning, marketing, education reform, women empowerment, and youth employment. She has solid experience designing innovative ways to strengthen the local economy and improving sustainable livelihood through utilizing technological trends.

Currently, Maram heads the Project Management Office (PMO) at Luminus Education and successfully manages a profile of 20 annual development projects sponsored by local and international donors. This portfolio focuses on the concept of “Education for Employment”, where technical and vocational training is the central educational stream to develop youth’s capacity and integrate them into the work market, thereby increasing youth employability.

Furthermore, she implemented a systemized Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) function to follow-up on the projects’ performance against the pre-defined indicators and goals. Maram developed the capacity of 35 members of varying seniority levels, including project managers, project coordinators, the M&E Manager, and M&E coordinators.

Before Luminus Education, Maram led the Community Empowerment Program at the Jordan River Foundation where she executed the portfolio to support Jordanians and refugees’ livelihood and economic improvement.

Maram worked for the private sector for 14 years before joining the development sector. Specifically, she worked in the telecommunication domain, handling product development and product marketing. She also worked in the banking sector, heading all banking-related projects such as facilities planning, IT systems implementation, business process re-engineering, and re-branding.
