Amal Jaradat 

Deputy Director General, Jordan Loan Guarantee Corporation (JLGC)

Amal Jaradat is the Deputy Director General at Jordan Loan Guarantee Corporation. She is directly responsible for managing and supervising the activities of the operational departments (Credit guarantee, Export credit guarantee, Finance, Follow Up, Indemnifications & Recoveries Dept) along with the support departments. 

Before becoming the deputy director general, Amal Jaradat started her work alongside JLGC in August, 2013 as a JLGC Project Manager with International Finance Corporation (IFC) to supervise JLGC - IFC project activities. More specifically, the objective of the project was to develop JLGC’s outreach as well as to build and reinforce the institutional capacity. During the project time frame, Mrs. Jaradat was in charge of managing the industrial finance department by managing the SMEs Loan Guarantee Portfolio (Industrial finance loans, Leasing, Kafala and startups loans, in addition to the relationship with Banks/Lending institutions. 

By November, 2017. Ms. Jaradat was assigned to be in charge of managing export credit insurance & domestic sales department by supervising and directing the activity of the Dept. in compliance with agreements with the reinsurers, policies, products procedures and company strategy as well as marketing visits and workshops for the Jordanian exporters.

Prior to joining JLGC, she had 17 years of banking experience at the Bank of Jordan. Mrs. Jaradat’s career progressed as she was promoted to various positions, leaving as the Retail Credit Review Officer/ Assistant Manager.

Mrs. Jaradat is the representative in multiple conferences and annual meetings regarding the export credit insurance for the purpose of reporting JLGC’s annual activities and participating in the open discussions.  For instance, AMAN union, Berne union and previously Coface; as well as the credit guarantee schemes workshops & meetings. She represents the company in the local workshops with Banks, Chambers of Industry, Chamber of Commerce and Microfinance companies 

Additionally, Amal Jaradat is the Project Sponsor of the digital transformation strategy for JLGC in systems, processes and people in order to achieve operational excellence, ensure secure operations and pave a pathway of innovation.

As of November 2022 she is the Prague Club (PC) Committee VICE CHAIR at Berne Union. Furthermore, she is a trainer in the field of SMEs at Institute of Banking Studies.

Mrs. Jaradat holds a BA degree in Business Administration from University of Jordan.
