Reem is the head of EDGE department within the retail banking at Housing bank with full responsibility for the EDGE growth, building relationships, lead teams resulting in customer satisfaction, retention, and increased sales.

Throughout her career Reem held various roles at HSBC Jordan, INVETSBANK and Capital Bank with proven success in strategic initiatives which included innovation, digital transformation projects, baking channels, product development, wealth management, portfolio management and bancassurance.

Career History

Abeer is the Security Governance & Digitalization Director at Orange Jordan (OJO) and is responsible for overseeing and leading the company’s security governance, business continuity, and crisis management as well as providing strategic oversight of agile security and business information security management across all areas of IT, business, and digital transformation.

Abeer launched the security transformation program as part of the company’s digital transformation efforts with the aim of fostering digital security and trust with OJO customers, and increased the overall security maturity and compliance of OJO by 20% in one year. In addition, she successfully launched business anticipation and resilience programs as part of the company’s business continuity strategy to ensure and maintain the highest levels of preparedness for global threats and top risks.

Abeer led and managed the OJO’s COVID crisis response strategy overlooking people, operations, and business continuity plans during the two-year pandemic with the aim of reducing the number of COVID-19 cases to zero in all OJO workplaces.

Abeer has many professional and volunteer roles outside her work at Orange Jordan. She is a member of the UNODC's Ad Hoc Committee on Cybercrime and is responsible for drafting a new global cybercrime convention by February 2024. She is also a member of the industrial committee at Sumaya University's computer engineering and cyber security departments, where she supports the cybersecurity education program. Last but not least, Abeer was selected as the top finalist for cybersecurity expertise among Middle Eastern women in 2022.
